At our January meeting at the Spanish River Library in Boca Raton, speaker State Rep. Maria Sachs, D-Delray Beach talked about human trafficking in South Florida.

Rep. Sachs who is a member of the Florida's Task Force on Human Trafficking is very knowledgable on this subject and gave us a very interesting presentation. She had previously given a presentation on this topic in November 2009 to the 10th Annual Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Berlin. The summit had convened to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall.
